Ford Transit Connect is a compact van made by Ford Europe from 2002 to the present day. It replaced the long-running Escort van.

First generation (2002–2013)

The first generation Transit Connect was launched in October 2002. It replaced the Escort van.[1]

In 2009, the model was facelifted. It had a new front bumper, new grille and new rear lights.[2] At the same time, it launched in North American markets for the 2010 Model Year.[3]

Ford also made a passenger leisure van called the Tourneo Connect, It was made from 2002 to 2013.

Second generation (2013–2022)

The second generation Transit Connect was launched in September 2013.[4]

In 2018, the model was improved. It had a new front bumper, new grille and new rear lights.[5][6]

Ford also made a passenger leisure van called the Tourneo Connect, It was made from 2014[7] to 2020.

Third generation (2021–present)

The third generation Transit Connect was launched in October 2024[8][9] and the Tourneo Connect was launched in 2021/2022.[10][11]

The Tourneo Connect is a Volkswagen Caddy[12][13] with a different badge and different interior.

Ford also make a passenger leisure van called the Tourneo Connect, It is made from 2021[14][15][16] to the present day.
