abnormal sensation that bugs are crawling on or under the skin
Feeling as if insects were crawling across or underneath your skin. Originated from the Latin word “formica”, which means ant. It is one of the sensations known as paresthesias, which also include the more common prickling, tingling sensation known as "pins and needles".
