Gabriel Guarda

Chilean historian and architect (1928-2020)

Gabriel Guarda (born Fernando Guarda Geywitz; 19 January 1928[1][2] – 23 October 2020), was a Chilean historian and architect.[3] He was part of the editorial committee of the journal Historia after it was created in 1961.[4] In 1984 he received the Chilean National History Award.[3]

Guarda was born in Valdivia, Chile. He studied architecture at the Catholic University of Chile.[3] Guarda died on 23 October 2020 in Santiago de Chile, aged 92.[5]
