Gamera (character)

Gamera (Japanese: ガメラ) is a giant turtle kaiju from the Japanese movie series of the same name, starting off with 1965 film Gamera, the Giant Monster. He was originally designed to compete against Toho's Godzilla, but the series eventually became its own thing, now spanning 12 movies and other media such as anime and novels.
