George Bandy
American politician
George Bandy (February 7, 1945 – January 16, 2018) was an American Democratic politician. He was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives from the 83rd District, being first elected in 1994.[1][2] He was born in Opelika, Alabama.

Bandy served on the Lee County Commission, and served as president pro tempore of the Opelika City Council. He has also served as chairman of the Alabama Democratic Conference.
Bandy died on January 16, 2018 in a hospital in Macon, Georgia of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 72.[3]
