Gideon Mensah
Gideon Mensah (born 18 July 1998) is a Ghanaian professional footballer. He plays as a defender for Ligue 1 club Auxerre . He also represents the Ghana national team.

Career
changeHe started his career with the West African Football Academy (WAFA). He played his first match in the Ghana Premier League in 2015. In July 2016 he went to Austria and joined FC Liefering which played in the Second Austrian League. 2017 he won the UEFA Youth League with the U19 team of FC Salzburg.
In January 2019, Mensah joined Sturm Graz on loan until the end of the season.[3] On 29 August 2019 he went on to the Belgian club S.V. Zulte Waregem for the 2019–20 season.[4] On 3 August 2021 Mensah joined FC Girondins de Bordeaux on a season-long loan until the end of the season.[5]
International career
changeMensah made his debut for the Ghana national team in the 2021 AFCON qualifier against South Africa in 2019.[6] He was part of the Ghana national team in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. [7][8] With Ghana he is qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Katar.[9]
