Gordon Aikman

British political researcher and campaigner (1985-2017)

Gordon Lewis Aikman BEM (2 April 1985 – 3 February 2017) was a British political researcher and campaigner. He was a Director of Research for the Better Together campaign that took place during the Scottish independence referendum in 2014. During that campaign, he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. He later went on to campaign to raise awareness of the disease.

Aikman was born in Kirkcaldy, Fife. He was married to Joe Pike.

Aikman died from motor neurone disease on 3 February 2017 at the age of 31.[1]
