Harold and Maude is a 1971 American romantic black comedy movie directed by Hal Ashby and starring Bud Cort, Ruth Gordon, Vivian Pickles, Eric Christmas, Tom Skerritt, Cyril Cusack and Charles Tyner. It was distributed by Paramount Pictures and became a cult classic.
In 1997, the Library of Congress selected Harold and Maude into the United States National Film Registry.
