Hawkgirl is the name of several fictional superheroines appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The original Hawkgirl, Shiera Sanders Hall, was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville. She first appeared in Flash Comics #1 (January 1940). She is a member of the Justice League.
