Helen Skelton

English television presenter

Helen Elizabeth Skelton (born 19 July 1983) is an English television presenter and actress.

Works change

She co-presented CBBC's programme Blue Peter from 2008 to 2013. Since 2014 she has been the presenter of Countryfile.

She also co-hosted two series of the BBC One television programme Holiday Hit Squad alongside Angela Rippon and Joe Crowley. She also hosted the daytime series The Instant Gardener which ran for two seasons. She is currently a dancer on the celebrity dancing show Strictly Come Dancing.

Early life change

Skelton was born on July 19, 1983, in Carlisle, Cumbria, England. She grew up on a dairy farm in the town of Kirkby Thore. She attended the local primary school and then Appleby Grammar School. Then she graduated from the Cumbria Institute of the Arts. She earned a degree in journalism. During her time in college, he worked as an extra on Coronation Street and Cutting It.

Skelton is a qualified tap dance teacher and has said that if she weren't a broadcaster, she would be a teacher. His brother Gavin Skelton is a professional footballer and has also been a player-manager.
