Henk van Mierlo

Dutch motorcross racer

Henk van Mierlo (1957 – July 2024) was a Dutch motocross racer.

During the 1980s Van Mierlo was a member of the Venko Honda team.[1][2] He won many races, among others the International Six Days Enduro in 1984.[3][4][5]

During a training in 1991, Van Mierlo crashed and broke his neck and suffered a spinal cord injury. He was forced to live rest of his life in a wheelchair.[1][2] He continued to follow motocross for the rest of his life.[6][7]

Van Mierlo died in July 2024, at the age of 66.[1][2]
