Heroes' Day (Namibia)

Heroes' Day is a national public holiday in Namibia. The United Nations names it Namibia Day. It is celebrated every year on 26 August.[1] The day is about the Namibian War of Independence which began on 26 August 1966 at Omugulugwombashe.[2]
