High voltage
electrical energy at voltages high enough to inflict harm on living organisms
High voltage is an electric potential that is very high. The exact definition depends on the context but over 1000 V for alternating current and 1500 V for direct current is called high voltage by the International Electrotechnical Commission.[1]
Coming in contact with high voltage can cause serious injury or death.[2]
