The I Zwicky 18 is an irregular dwarf galaxy. It is 45 million years light from Earth in the constellation of the Ursa Major. It was identified by first time in the 1930s by the astronomer Fritz Zwicky.

A young galaxy
changeI Zwicky 18, only 500 million years of age, is a recently born galaxy compared with most.[3] It is still making population III stars, almost entirely made of hydrogen and helium. The Milky Way is about 12,000 million years old.
