As of 2024, the Fever have been to the WNBA Playoffs 14 times. In 2009, the Fever went to the WNBA Finals. They lost to the Phoenix Mercury. In 2012, the Fever won the WNBA Championship. They beat the Minnesota Lynx to win. The Fever has had many good basketball players on their team, such as Tamika Catchings, Katie Douglas, and most recently Caitlin Clark. Clark's arrival as the first overall draft pick in 2024 led to a major surge in media and fan interest for both the Fever and WNBA. The team's home attendance in 2024 averaged slightly over 17,000, a WNBA single-season record and also more than five NBA teams in that league's 2023–24 season.
