Isabelle Aubret

French singer

Isabelle Aubret (born Thérèse Coquerelle; 27 July 1938) is a French singer.[1] She has released many songs over her career, which began in the 1950s.

In 1961, she participated in France's entry selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She was runner-up. The next year, Aubret was selected to represent France for the Eurovision Song Contest 1962 with the song "Un premier amour". She won the contest.[1]

She tried to represent France again in 1970, 1976 and 1983 but was not chosen on all three occasions.

Aubret was supposed to play the main role of the film Les parapluies de Cherbourg, but Aubret was injured in a car accident which killed one other person.
