Jakobstad
town in the region of Ostrobothnia in Finland
Jakobstad (Finnish: Pietarsaari) is a city in Ostrobothnia, Finland. As of January 2014, almost 20,000 people lived there. The municipalities next to it are Larsmo, Pedersöre, and Nykarleby. Kokkola is also nearby.
Jakobstad was established in 1652. The people speak two languages: Finnish and Swedish.
