James Budd

Governor of California (1851-1908)

James Budd was an American Democratic Party politician who served as governor of California from 1895 to 1899. During his time as governor a new banking act was introduced while laws were made to prohibit adulteration of drinks, foods, and drugs, and also to aid the dairy industry.[1]
