James Snyder Jr.

American author, attorney and politician (1945–2021)

James Eugene "Jim" Snyder Jr. (June 30, 1945 – September 12, 2021) was an American lawyer, writer and politician. He was a member of the Republican Party. Snyder Jr. was a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives from 1969 until 1973. Snyder Jr. was born in Lexington, North Carolina.

Snyder Jr. ran for the United States Senate running against U.S. Senator Elizabeth Dole in the Republican primary. He lost the nomination to Dole. He ran twice for Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, losing both times in 2004 and 2008.

Snyder Jr. died on September 12, 2021 at his home in Lexington at the age of 76.[1]
