Jane Campion
New Zealand film director, screenwriter and producer
Dame Elizabeth Jane Campion DNZM (born 30 April 1954) is a New Zealand director, screenwriter, and producer.[1] She became the first woman to be nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Director. She is also the first female filmmaker to win the Palme d'Or for The Piano (1993). This movie also won her the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.[2] She won the Oscar for Best Director for her movie The Power of the Dog (2021).[3]
