Jax-Ur
Jax-Ur is fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Otto Binder and George Papp, first appearing in Adventure Comics #289 (1961). He is an adversary of the superhero Superman.
Fictional character biography
changeHe is a Kryptonian super-criminal and an enemy to Superman. He was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone for destroying Wegthor, a populated moon of Krypton. This act of mass murder led him to be called the worst criminal in the Phantom Zone. Eventually he escaped to plot against Superman with his Phantom Zoner compatriots General Zod and Faora.
Powers and abilities
changeLike all Kryptonians, Jax-Ur possesses incredible strength, allowing him to lift heavy objects and overpower opponents easily. He can move at superhuman speeds, making him faster than most beings. Jax-Ur is nearly indestructible and highly resistant to physical injury, able to withstand high-impact attacks without getting hurt. He can emit beams of intense heat from his eyes, capable of melting through almost anything. Jax-Ur can defy gravity and fly at incredible speeds. His senses are greatly enhanced, allowing him to see and hear with extraordinary precision. Due to his Kryptonian physiology, he ages at a much slower rate than humans.
