Johann Ostermann

Austrian association football player (1911-1968)

Johann Ostermann (29 April 1911 – 29 March 1968) was an Austrian footballer.[1] He played mainly for SK Rapid Wien. He also played in one match for the Austria national football team in 1933.[2]

Career change

He started his career at SC Wacker Wien. In 1932, Johann Ostermann went to the top club SK Rapid Wien. After being twice runner-up he won the championship in the 1934–35 season with Rapid. Ostermann scored 10 goals. Rapid did not lose a game in this season.

After five seasons in Hütteldorf, Ostermann moved to SC Austro Fiat Wien in the second division. With the Floridsdorfern he was promoted in 1938 to the first league. He then ended his career at the second-class SC Gaswerk Wien.

International career change

Ostermann played one match on 30 April 1933 for the Austrian national football team. He scored Austria's goal in a 1–1 draw against Hungary.[3]
