John Jenkinson
John Jenkinson (14 June 1870 — 13 October 1915) was an Indian-born British foil fencer.[2]

Jenkinson was a pupil at the Professor McPherson’s School of Arms where he learned fencing. His first fencing achievement was in 1899 winning the Colmore-Dunne Challenge Cup. in 1900 he won the gold medal in the foil event at the German Gymnastic Society's.[2] Jenkinson became national foil champion in 1902, 1903 and 1904.[1] He was foil champion of the Auxiliary Forces in 1905 and 1906. He took part in the Sabre Championship, and finished each time second behind Charles Wilson.[2] He competed as at the 1908 Summer Olympics in the open foil event. This event was held a demonstration event.[2]
Jenkinson was a member of the Inns of Court Volunteers from 1888. From 1908 he joined the Territorial Force at Tamworth. During World War I Jenkinson became a captain in the 6th Battalion of the North Staffordshire Regiment. He died in action in Pas-de-Calais, France on 13 October 1915 in a confrontation with the enemy.[2]
