John R. Bartels Jr.
American lawyer and first Administrator of the DEA
John Ries Bartels Jr. (born November 27, 1934) is an American lawyer and politician. He was the first Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration from 1973 to 1975.[1] He was also the first Chief of the New Jersey Organized Crime Strike Force.[2]
