John Solomon (rugby union)

Australian rugby union player (1929–2020)

Herbert John Solomon (15 October 1929 – 18 March 2020) was an Australian rugby union player. He played for the Wallabies, Australia's national team, in 14 Test matches between 1949 and 1955. He also led the touring squads to New Zealand and South Africa. In 2016, he was added to the Rugby Australia Hall of Fame.

Solomon was born in Randwick, New South Wales. He died on 18 March 2020, at the age of 90.[1]
