José Horacio Gómez
American Roman Catholic archbishop
José Horacio Gómez (born December 26, 1951) is a Mexican-born American prelate of the Catholic Church. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico. He has been the fifth Archbishop of Los Angeles since 2011.
He was Auxiliary Bishop of Denver from 2001 to 2004 and Archbishop of San Antonio from 2004 to 2010.
Gomez was Vice President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. In 2019, he became President of the conference.[1]
