Jos Plas
Petrus Josephus Armand "Jos" Plas or Joseph Plas (26 November 1930 – 3 January 2025) was a professional Belgian road cyclist.

Biography
changeHis cycling career was from 1952 to 1964. He won in this era many races in Belgium, including GP Stad Vilvoorde and had many more podium positions at other races. He rode among others the Tour of Flanders and Giro di Lombardia.[1] One of his trainers was Boontje.[2]
During his career he also owned a bicycle shop in Teralfene. After his career he remained a very active cyclist. At the age of 80 years old he cycled three days per week over 100 kilometers.[1] He even cycled after his 90th birthday.[3]
Plas married O'Dora Messens (1935-1974) and after her death Liesbeth van der Linden. He died at home in Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle on 3 January 2025, at the age of 94.[4][5]
