Juan Carlos Blanco Estradé
Foreign Minister, Senator and ambassador (1934-2021)
Juan Carlos Blanco Estradé (19 June 1934 – 22 August 2021) was an Uruguayan lawyer and politician. He was born in Montevideo. He was a member of the Colorado Party. Blanco was Foreign Minister of Uruguay from 1972 to 1976. He was Ambassador to the United Nations from 1982 to 1985. From 1990 to 1995, Blanco Estradé was a member of the Senate.
Blanco Estradé died on 22 August 2021 in Montevideo at the age of 87.[1]
