Juozas Žemaitis
Lithuanian priest
Juozas Žemaitis (30 August 1926 – 5 October 2021) was a Lithuanian Roman Catholic prelate. He was born in Šakiai District Municipality, Lithuania. He became a priest in 1949. In 1991, Pope John Paul II made Žemaitis the Bishop of Vilkaviškis. He retired from the role in 2002.
Žemaitis died on 5 October 2021 in Marijampolė, Lithuania at the age of 95.[1]
