Karla Avelar

LGBTI Activist

Karla Avelar (born 1978), she is a Salvadoran activist for the rights of transgender people.[1] She is also the executive director of Comcavis Trans.[2]

She also the founded an organisation of transgender people called COMCAVIS TRANS,[3] in 2008. It was made as a support group of TRANS women.[4]

In 2017, she was a listed as one of the finalist of the Martin Ennals Award for Human Rights Defenders.[5]
