Kathy Sullivan

Kathryn Jean Martin Sullivan AM (born 8 March 1942) is an Australian politician. She is a member of the Liberal Party. She served as a Senator for Queensland from 1974 to 1984. She was also a member of the House of Representatives for the Division of Moncrieff from 1984 to 2001. She was the longest serving woman in the Australian Parliament. Her record was beaten by Bronwyn Bishop. She was also the first woman member of the parliament to have served in both houses.
Sullivan was born in Brisbane, Queensland. She was married to Donald Maher from 1965 to 1969. In 1983, she married American Robert Sullivan.[1]
