Koen Schuiling

Koen Frank Schuiling (1 February 1959) is a Dutch politician.

He was born in Rotterdam in 1959 and studied law and administrative sciences at the University of Groningen from 1978 to 1984.[1] After having been parliamentary leader (1996-1998) and alderman (1998-2006), Schuiling served as mayor of Den Helder (2010-2019) and Mayor of Groningen (2019-2024). He retired prematurely as mayor of Groningen; partly due to the asylum issue and gas extraction in Groningen.[2][3]
