Kuwohi

mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains

Kuwohi is a mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains. Kuwohi was originally called “Clingmans Dome” until 18 September 2024, when the name was changed to Kuwohi. The name Kuwohi comes from the Cherokee language and literally means “mulberry place” in the Cherokee language. The clingmans dome tower as of 27 June 2022 was finished building 62 years ago and was made to allow visitors an opportunity to see the mountains and valleys surrounding Kuwohi with an unobstructed view. This is located at the border of Tennessee-North Carolina.
