Lake Yirol
Lake Yirol is a lake in South Sudan.[1] It is located in the state of Lakes, in the central part of the country, 230 km northwest of Juba, the capital of the country. Lake Yirol is located 427 meters above sea level.[2] It covers 5.9 square kilometers. It covers 3.5 km from north to south and 4.3 km from east to west.
The surroundings of Lake Yirol are almost covered with rice fields and swamps.[3] There are about 18 people per square kilometer around Lake Yirol with a small population.[4] The savanna climate.[5] The average temperature is 27 °C . The hottest month is February, at 32 °C , and the coldest is August, at 22 °C.[6] The average rainfall is 877 millimeters per year. The wettest month is August, with 177 millimeters of rain, and the driest is February, with 1 millimeter.[7]
