Linguistic imperialism
transfer of a dominant language to other people, as a demonstration of military of economic power, along with other aspects of the dominant culture
Linguistic imperialism or language imperialism is when the most used language is forced onto people who do not use that language. Imperialism is the reason why this happens. Linguistic imperialism is viewed by some people as a way to show power.[1][2]
