Locked Up Abroad and its British version, Banged Up Abroad is a television show the chronicles people's accounts of being held against their will in foreign countries. Usually, this involves the people breaking the country's laws and getting arrested and put in prison for it. But some kidnappings by cartels and terrorist organizations are chronicled as well. The show airs on the National Geographic channel.
