M. S. Narasimhan

Indian mathematician (1932–2021)

Mudumbai Seshachalu Narasimhan FRS (7 June 1932 – 16 May 2021) was an Indian mathematician. He was known, along with C. S. Seshadri, for their proof of the Narasimhan–Seshadri theorem. He was elected as a member of the Fellows of the Royal Society. He was the only Indian to receive the King Faisal International Prize in the field of science.[1]

Narasimhan died on 16 May 2021, aged 88.[2]
