MGM Animation Studios is a animation studio of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Their first film will be Spooky Jack. label of Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical film production and distribution division, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Established on 2025, by Carl Rosendahl, the studio is the successor to the original Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Animation studio, which was closed down in 2002.

History

MGM Animation Studios was founded in 2025 by Carl Rosendahl (then head of the studio's motion picture division) founded a screenplay development department, nicknamed a "think tank" for developing theatrical animated films MGM Animation Studios. The group includes Amazon MGM Studios. created the group with the hope that the box office reception of their films will be competitive with other animation studios' releases. In February 2025, animation studio Spotlight Animation Studios under their 20th Century Studios label formed a deal with MGM Animation Studios

Production logo

With the release of Spooky Jack in October 2027, MGM Animation Studio's logo. It features characters from Hoodwinked, Happy Feet, Doogal, Escape from Planet Earth, Leap!, Duck Duck Goose, and The Nut Job, it was animated by DNEG Animation and their head of animation Jim Morris. The behind the music of the studio's logo was posted by John Debney.
