Alessandro Mahmoud (born 12 September 1992), better known by his stage name Mahmood, is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is best known for winning the Sanremo Music Festival twice (in 2019 and 2022).

Mahmood became popular in Italy after competing in season six of the Italian version of The X Factor. In 2019, he won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Soldi", and represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the same song.[1] He finished in second place behind the Netherlands.

He won the Sanremo Music Festival 2022 once again, alongside Blanco with the song "Brividi", and they both represented again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin.[2] They finished in sixth place.
