Mandal is a town in the Lindesnes municipality in Agder, Norway. It is the fourth largest town in Agder. It is located at the end of Mandalen Valley, where the Mandalselva river flows into the sea.[1] The town has an area of 7.03 square kilometres (2.71 sq mi)[2] and had a population of 11,053 in 2019.[3]

The town is located along the European route E39 highway. it is about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of Kristiansand and 60 kilometres (37 mi) southeast of Flekkefjord. Close to Mandal, there are smaller communities like Ime to the east and Sånum to the southwest. Another small village, Krossen, is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north, along the Mandalselva river.
