Margo Smith

American singer-songwriter

Betty Lou Miller (later stage named as Margo Smith; April 9, 1939 -- January 23, 2024) was an American Christian and country music singer and songwriter. Her Christian and country music success involved the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.[1]

By the name Margo Smith, she had a career that went across multiple decades and years. Her first album was I'm a Lady from 1971. From the Seventies to the Nineties, Smith's songs included "My Guy" (her version of the Mary Wells hit song), "Little Things Mean a Lot" and "There I Said It".

Smith was born in 1939 although some sources mention her being born between 1941 and 1943.[2] She died half a week after a stroke at age eighty-four in Franklin, Tennessee.
