Margot Eskens
German singer
Margot Eskens (12 August 1939 – 29 July 2022) was a German Schlager singer. She was active in the 1950s and 1960s. She was born in Düren, Germany. In 1955, she became popular with "Ich möchte heut ausgehn". In 1956 and 1957 she had two number 1 hits, "Tiritomba" and "Cindy oh Cindy".[1] In 1966, she represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest and won tenth place.

On 29 July 2022, she died at age 82.[2]
