Marlèn Nolta
Dutch illustrator (1955-2022)
Marlèn Nolta (30 June 1955 – 11 January 2022) was a Dutch illustrator and drawer.[1]

Nolta studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Royal Academy of Art, Amsterdam . In 1981 an exhibition was held including sepia drawings of Nolta.[2] She became in the 1980s a succesfull cartoonist for national newspapers and magazines, including NRC Handelsblad, Elsevier and Het Parool.[3][4][5][6] She made cartoons for the news item, with a few catchy words. She also drew book covers.[7] Nolta also made own work.[5] Nolta became a bookseller at Boekhandel van Pampus in Amsterdam.[8]
Nolta died in Amsterdam on 11 January 2022, at the age of 66.[1][5]
