Michael Phillips (critic)

American film critic, formerly newspaper drama critic

Michael Phillips (born 1961) is an American movie critic, journalist, and historian who works as a critic for the Chicago Tribune. His influences include Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel.

Phillips was born in 1961 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.[1] He was raised in Racine, Wisconsin. He studied at the University of Minnesota. He now lives in Chicago, Illinois.
