Mike Storen
American sports executive
Mike Storen (September 14, 1935 – May 7, 2020) was an American sports executive in basketball, baseball, and football. He began his career with the Chicago Zephyrs and became their promotions director. He was the first general manager of the Indiana Pacers from 1967 to 1969. He was part-owner of the Kentucky Colonels.
He became the commissioner of the American Basketball Association (ABA) in 1973. He was an important person during the league's merger with the National Basketball Association (NBA) three years later.
Storen was born in Michigan City, Indiana. He died on May 7, 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia, aged 84.[1]
