Mildred Gale
Grandmother of George Washington
Mildred Gale, born Mildred Warner (1671 – 30 January 1701) was the spouse (wife) of Lawrence Washington. He was the paternal grandfather of George Washington. After her husband died in February 1698, she had to raise her children all alone, and thus became a single parent (mother). She herself died on 30 January 1701.
