Mircea Mureșan

Romanian film director (1928–2020)

Mircea Mureșan (11 November 1928 – 24 April 2020) was a Romanian movie director.[1] He directed 22 movies, beginning in 1961. Mureșan won the prize for Best First Work at the 1966 Cannes Film Festival for the movie Răscoala.[2] He also directed Blestemul pământului, blestemul iubirii and Toate pînzele sus.

Mureșan died on 24 April 2020 in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania at the age of 91.[3]
