NASDAQ

American fully electronic stock exchange

NASDAQ is a stock exchange in New York City. It stands for National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations. About 3,800 companies trade on it. It is owned by a company called Nasdaq, Inc.[1]

NASDAQt was founded in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).[2]

In 2023 it bought the financial software company Adenza, for $10.5 billion.[3]

NASDAQ is a financial services corporation.
