A terrorist attack began on 15 January 2019 and finished on 16 January 2019 in the Westlands area of Nairobi, Kenya. The incident began at 14:30 on 15 January, and ended a few minutes to ten the following day.[1]
Initial reports were of gunfire and two explosions at the hotel. His accomplice and girlfriend fled to Somalia. The hotel was reopened in August.
