Napoleon Broward

American politician (1857-1910)

Napoleon Broward was an American Democratic Party politician who served as governor of Florida from 1905 to 1909.[1] A series of progressive reforms were implemented during Broward’s time as governor. Amongst others, these included the abolition of child labor, a pure food law, and speed limits for automobiles. His administration also championed mental health and education.[2]
